About me

I am a Los Angeles native, product of public schools, and daughter of Pilipino American immigrants. I am a graduate of the UCLA School of Education and Information Studies, having obtained a Masters in Library and Information Science with a specialization in information organization.

I committed to serving communities, first, while employed in public libraries. In subsequent years over the past two decades, I increasingly participated in the communities where I live. Similarly, I intentionally contribute where my child attends school engaging as a dedicated parent, activist and advocate for public schools.

My commitments are, in part, responses to the absence of others willing and available to take on more visible roles. Often these roles require unique skillsets to develop and implement plans, establish and nurture relationships, and navigate challenging circumstances.
